Being the most simple, is quite straightforward and will be dictated by the power supply available for the range. For obvious reasons ( and in all cases ) the optimum is to use 220v AC . Again in all cases hopper fed traps (with large target magazine capacities ) obviates the use of labour, whereby a facility can be run by just one person. A squad of 5 shooters will require about 25 minutes to shoot 25 targets.SKEET ( American - English and U.I.T. International )
Likewise with Trap, also very easy to install, maintain and use. Skeet requires two identical machines , so as to provide identical targets with the same velocity, accuracy and direction. A squad of 5 shooters will also require about 25 minutes to shoot 25 targets.
SPORTING ( Compak - FITASC - English Doubles )
As a general rule Sporting requires no less than 5 machines and given their diversity , 12v DC is some cases essential. As an example if only a Compak Sporting facility is considered where no AC current is available, then the MiniKromson range is ideal ( 1 each models K2Rabbit - K5Teal - K6Auto and two units K9 ) These are extremely portable, can be used in variety of locations, and range changes can be made at a moments notice.
Also being portable, they can be stored away from the elements, unlike standard disciplines like DTL and SKEET where permanent housing must be provided. The MiniKromson range is also very easy to apply to FITASC and English Doubles.The ideal situation however is the combined facility ( DTL - SKEET and COMPAK ) where ones target availability would increase from 5 machines to a total of 8 (1from the DTL and 2 from the SKEET) could also be used for Sporting layouts. In a situation like this we would recommend radio release for all 8 machines (with optional manual provided) In such a situation of a combined facility, we would recommend 220v AC for the three DTL/SKEET machines and five 12v DC MiniKromson's only. This way, and subject to demand, one could use the MiniKromsons at another location, whereby two squads can shoot at the same time. Compak Sporting will take about 20 minutes for a squad of 5 shooters each shooting 25 targets.
